Candidate Spotlight: Leanne Krueger-Braneky

State Representative Leanne Krueger-Braneky represents Pennsylvania’s 161st Legislative District in Delaware County, and is running for re-election in November.

Leanne currently serves on several legislative committees, including Children & Youth, Environmental Resources & Energy, Labor & Industry, and Liquor Control. She is a progressive champion, and a tireless advocate for women, children, the environment, and working families.  She was also named one of six national finalists for EMILY’s List’s Gabrielle Giffords Rising Star Award.

Leanne has extensive experience with nonprofit and economic development organizations. Prior to elected office, she served as the first executive director of the Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia, and senior director of strategy and development at the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies – an important organization which supports locally-owned, independent businesses across the country.

During her tenure at SBN and BALLE, Leanne helped to make the Philadelphia region the most sustainable in the nation, attracting more federal green jobs funding than any other region in the United States. Her work also resulted in multiple invites to the White House where she advised the Obama administration on the needs of local businesses.

Leanne holds an MBA in Urban Economic Development from Eastern University and a BA from Rutgers University. She lives in Swarthmore with her young son and husband, Reverend David Braneky.

Let’s send Leanne back to Harrisburg, where she can continue building our local communities, and putting policies in place to create a stronger, fairer economy for all Pennsylvanians. You can read more about Leanne at her website Leanne4PA.com.

The Pennsylvania Democratic Party endorses Leanne Krueger-Braneky and encourages all Pennsylvanians to vote for her in the general election on Tuesday November 8, 2016.
