AHEAD OF VICE PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE, LEHIGH VALLEY NATIVE HIGHLIGHTS TRUMP ADMIN’S BROKEN PROMISES ON HEALTH CARE, DRUG PRICES

New Video Responds To President Trump’s Debate Comments Claiming That Insulin Is As Cheap As Water

PENNSYLVANIA —  Today, hours before Vice President Pence and Kamala Harris are set to take the stage for the vice presidential debate, Lehigh Valley native and lifelong type-1 diabetic Mitch Lenett is calling out the Trump administration’s failure to address the rising cost of insulin and their attacks on the Affordable Care Act. The video follows President Trump’s comments in the last debate that thanks to him, the cost of insulin was now as cheap as water.

“During the first Presidential debate, our President claimed that insulin was now as cheap as water… That claim is not only false but it is deeply offensive and insulting to the many people that continue to struggle to afford the insulin that keeps us alive,” said Mr. Lenett. “When Mike Pence takes the stage in the vice presidential debate, I hope that he will answer [for] some of these misleading and dangerous claims. And I hope that he will also speak to his administration’s relentless attacks on the Affordable Care Act.”
