Barack Obama’s accomplishments have moved the country forward. He passed affordable health care legislation, combatted climate change, saved the auto industry, and brought justice to Osama Bin Laden. His achievements are on the line in this election, which is why he has endorsed candidates for U.S. Senate and U.S. House to defend his legacy in Congress.
Governor Wolf also needs Democrats in the legislature to keep Republicans from forcing dangerous legislation like education cuts, women’s healthcare restrictions, and other parts of their extreme conservative agenda. Barack Obama recognizes this, too, which is why he endorsed candidates for Attorney General and the Pennsylvania State Legislature.
“The candidates that Barack Obama endorsed are leaders who will work for the people of Pennsylvania,” said Marcel L. Groen, Chairman of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party. “Whether they will work in D.C. or in Harrisburg, these candidates will help Hillary Clinton and Governor Wolf fight to ensure fairness for all Pennsylvanians.”
