McCormick’s campaign continues to suffer from his damaging history
PENNSYLVANIA – Last night President Joe Biden received a standing ovation during his State of the Union address for his promise to buy American, providing a boon to hard working Americans. This contrasts starkly with Connecticut hedge fund manager David McCormick, who has spent his career opposing buy American provisions.
While McCormick opposed provisions aimed at helping American workers, his hedge fund raised more than $1 billion in investments in China while he served as CEO and said “when China succeeds, the United States succeeds” while he was the Treasury Under Secretary for International Affairs under the Bush administration.
Pennsylvania Democratic Party spokesperson Jack Doyle issued the following statement:
“As President Joe Biden receives praise for his promise to buy American and boost American workers, it’s a reminder of how important it is to have leaders who put workers first. David McCormick has spent his career outsourcing jobs and selling out American workers to boost his own bottom line. This is exactly why we can’t have someone like him representing Pennsylvanians.”
