A Message from Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto on the Importance of Voting Local

In just one week, Pennsylvania voters will head to the polls to cast their votes for one of the most important elections in history. We have the opportunity to elect our nation’s first female president and the first female senator from Pennsylvania.

But more than that, we have the opportunity to elect democratic candidates up and down the ballot and to win back the state legislature where our state representatives and senators are working to help Governor Wolf continue delivering on his plan to make government work for all families in Pennsylvania.

Today, we have a message from Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto on the importance of staying in that voting booth to make sure you vote Democrat all the way down the ticket:

“It’s important for the future of our cities in Pennsylvania to pick candidates all the way down the ballot and to vote local. We have some tremendous candidates running and have an opportunity to make a real difference by voting for each of them.

If – like me – you want to see our progressive values put front-and-center in Washington, in Harrisburg, and in your own neighborhood, vote all the way down the ballot, from President U.S. Senate and Congress, to our state row offices – Attorney General, Treasurer, and Auditor General – and State Legislative offices.”
