Candidate Spotlight: Elaine Paul Schaefer

Elaine Paul Schaefer is candidate for state representative in the 165th legislative district covering parts of Delaware County. She is an attorney and member of the Board of Commissioners for Radnor Township, where she has rooted out waste and fiscal mismanagement and put the township on a path to financial stability.

She co-founded and ran the Radnor Conservancy, an organization with a mission to engage the residents of Radnor Township in the preservation of natural, cultural and historic assets through environmental stewardship. She continues that same work today, within the Radnor board, working across the aisle to preserve 71 acres of open space for the enjoyment of township residents.

In stark contrast to her opponent who is a political opportunist funded by local developers, Elaine will bring the spirit of non-partisanship to Harrisburg to make sure that the government works fairly for all Pennsylvanians. She’ll close corporate tax loopholes and make corporate special interests, like the natural gas companies, pay their fair share.

Elaine will also be a voice for women. She believes in equal pay for equal work, and that an employer should provide paid family leave for its workers. She’ll fight to make sure the minimum wage is raised throughout Pennsylvania so families can begin to get ahead again.

Elaine is married with three children who all went through the Radnor Public Schools. You can read more about ElaineĀ at her website Elaine4PA.com.

The Pennsylvania Democratic Party endorses Elaine Paul Schaefer and encourages all Pennsylvanians in the 165th legislative district to vote for her in the general election on Tuesday November 8, 2016.
