Chairman Groen Releases Statement On Trump’s PA Visit; Invites Public To Join In Protest

Pennsylvania Democratic Party Chairman Marcel L. Groen issued the following statement regarding Trump’s 100th day rally in Harrisburg and invites supporters to join in a counter-protest:

“Donald Trump has now been president for 100 days, and Americans are worse off and his accomplishments are nonexistent. During his first 100 days, Trump has spent more days on the golf course than he has spent protecting American workers. Trump’s actions speak much louder than his words, and it is abundantly clear that we cannot trust our president’s word.

“Donald Trump will continue to break his promises to the middle class, but I know that the Pennsylvania Democratic Party and people all across the commonwealth who are fed up with Trump’s hypocrisy and lies will hold him accountable for his actions each and every day. Tomorrow, we’ll rally to show Donald Trump that we will not stand idly by as he continues his attacks on the values we believe in.”

Supporters are encouraged to join the Pennsylvania Democratic Party and other organizations as we protest Donald Trump’s visit to Pennsylvania. National and local leaders and activists will gather in Harrisburg for a rally to call attention to Trump’s broken promises throughout his first 100 days in office.

We’ll be joined by DNC Vice Chair Michael Blake, Harrisburg Mayor Eric Papenfuse, PA Senator Daylin Leach, and leaders from local activist and grassroots groups from across the state.
