PENNSYLVANIA — Today, Pennsylvania Republicans’ “train-wreck” Senate primary heads further off the rails with failed Congressional candidate and sore loser Sean Parnell entering the race, in spite of a last minute plea from six GOP county party chairs, three GOP State Senators, and three GOP State House Representatives for him to not run for Senate. Parnell joins a crowded GOP field that is sure to hinge on litmus tests and loyalty pledges.
“The headaches continue for the Pennsylvania GOP as sore loser Sean Parnell becomes the latest candidate to join their ‘super MAGA Trump’ primary. Buckle up as this collection of failed candidates spends the next eleven months running over each other to spread conspiracy theories and sell out Pennsylvania, all in an effort to secure Trump’s coveted endorsement,” said Pennsylvania Democratic Party spokesperson Jack Doyle.

- “Never mind Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. Palm Beach, Fla., is where the party’s Senate nomination is likely to be decided.” Parnell is just the latest candidate to try and claim the Trump mantle, Jeff Bartos has already made a trip to Mar-a-Lago and touted his support of the Trump agenda in his launch ad.
- The PA GOP primary is all set to be an expensive race to the bottom. Parnell enters the race having to catch up to real estate developer Jeff Bartos who has already raised $1.2 million, with $400,000 from his own pocket, during the first fundraising period and has a super PAC backing him that plans to spend at least $750,000.
- Failed Congressional candidate Sean Parnell is the definition of a sore loser who isn’t concerned about selling out the best interests of Pennsylvania if it helps his political career. Parnell still hasn’t conceded his House race, which isn’t surprising given his record of putting himself over what is best for the people of Pennsylvania. Just look at his support for ripping away health care from 858,000 Pennsylvanians.
