Today, during the Republican gubernatorial debate, Paul Mango, Scott Wagner, Laura Ellsworth, and Mike Turzai all expressed their support for Donald Trump while the federal government is shutting down due to his failure of leadership. Donald Trump is refusing to permanently fund CHIP, which provides health insurance to over 180,000 Pennsylvanian children, and is turning his back on the thousands of Pennsylvanians who have benefited from DACA.
“As the Trump-led government shutdown continues due to his inability to fund CHIP and renew DACA, Paul Mango, Scott Wagner, Mike Turzai, and Laura Ellsworth all expressed their support for the failing President,” said Beth Melena, communications director for the Pennsylvania Democratic Party. “The Republican candidates for governor all support Donald Trump’s reckless government shutdown which could have disastrous effects on Pennsylvanians.”
