GOP PA Primary Gets Even Nastier As Another Negative Ad Hits The Airwaves

Jeff Bartos-aligned PAC hits McCormick and Oz as the nasty primary continues on the airwaves

PENNSYLVANIA – The country’s nastiest primary got even messier as Jeff Bartos-supporting Super PAC Jobs for Our Future PAC is now up with a new ad hitting Connecticut hedge fund executive David McCormick and New Jersey daytime TV host Mehmet Oz for their carpetbagging campaigns:

TV personality Mehmet Oz and former hedge fund manager Dave McCormick are still throwing punches in the Republican primary for Senate in Pennsylvania, but now they’re facing attacks from another front — an outside group backing businessman Jeff Bartos.

Jobs for Our Future PAC dropped a new ad on the airwaves in Pennsylvania yesterday, where a narrator claims, “Political tourists are parachuting into Pennsylvania, pretending to be conservative, but there’s only one real conservative in this race who actually lives here.”

They applaud Bartos for helping small businesses survive the pandemic and claim, “We can trust Jeff Bartos to stand up to China, take on Biden and crack down on illegal immigration.”

The group has so far spent over $565,000 in the state on radio and TV ads, according to AdImpact.

Pennsylvania Democratic Party spokesperson Jack Doyle issued the following statement:

“Every day this primary descends further into chaos. Outside group involvement in this race has already contributed to the former frontrunner dropping out, and now they’re continuing to ensure this race is a nasty fight that takes place in voters’ living rooms. This is going to be a messy, expensive primary and whichever Republican candidate ultimately limps out will be a damaged candidate out of step with the voters who will decide the general election.”
