PENNSYLVANIA – Lou Barletta continues to embrace Donald Trump’s election conspiracies, and in a new interview with NBC10’s Lauren Mayk, Barletta endorsed Harrisburg Republicans’ fraudit – while also refusing to say Donald Trump lost the 2020 presidential election.

Asked about Harrisburg Republicans’ fraudit, Barletta endorsed the subpoenas and continued to promote absurd conspiracy theories that have been repeatedly debunked. Cyber security experts also say the fraudit would jeopardize the private, personal information – including driver’s license numbers and social security numbers – of 9 million Pennsylvania voters.

It’s clear that Barletta is embracing a dangerous, partisan fraudit just to please Donald Trump and his MAGA supporters. In the same interview, despite being offered three chances to acknowledge the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election, Barletta refused to say Donald Trump lost.

MAYK: So just to be clear, you said the idea is not to overturn the election. Do you acknowledge that President Trump, former President Trump, lost the state of Pennsylvania and the general election in 2020?

BARLETTA: Well, Joe Biden’s President, he’s in office.

MAYK: And won that election fairly?

BARLETTA: Well, you know, the thing is, we have over two million people in Pennsylvania that, you know, might argue that you know they don’t feel the same way. And that’s why I think it’s important…

MAYK: But do you acknowledge that President Trump lost Pennsylvania in the general election?

BARLETTA: I acknowledge that Joe Biden is the President of the United States and he’s our President, and we need to move forward with that, but at the same time, you have two million people who feel that there were things that happened in that election, and many of it and I’m one of them, who believe that this needs to be looked at so that we don’t make those same mistakes moving forward.

“Lou Barletta will say anything to please Donald Trump, even if it means jeopardizing Pennsylvanians’ privacy and parroting dangerous conspiracy theories,” said Pennsylvania Democratic Party spokesperson Marisa Nahem. “While the reality of the 2020 election is clear, so is Lou Barletta’s refusal to accept it.”
