It has been a week since Inauguration Day, and Representative Mike Kelly is ready and eager to kiss Donald Trump’s ring. He recently described President Trump as “the new action hero for America” Trump spent his first days in office obsessing over the crowd size at his inauguration and issuing an executive order that would bring health care chaos to middle class families. Kelly, who is up for re-election in 2018, has joined a number of GOP members who have already started kissing up to Trump.
“Fearful that Trump will potentially hurt his career with a single tweet, Kelly has cowardly chosen to play along with Trump’s demands,” said Brandon Cwalina, spokesperson for the Pennsylvania Democratic Party. “Rather than standing up for his constituents, we should expect to see Kelly becoming one of Trump’s many puppets over the next two years.”
