McCormick Has A Web of Ties To Election Deniers, Fake Electors, and Insurrectionists
PENNSYLVANIA — This week, a fake elector and Trump co-conspirator that David McCormick previously had on his payroll was indicted for the third time. McCormick paid the fake elector to help his campaign’s efforts in 2022.
McCormick has yet to answer for his deep ties to fake electors and insurrectionists involved in plots to overturn the 2020 election, including the conspirator who was also indicted in Georgia and Arizona — and now, Wisconsin.
Pennsylvania Democratic Party spokesperson TaNisha Cameron issued the following statement:
“David McCormick shows Pennsylvanians exactly who he is by standing with fake electors, election deniers, and January 6 insurrectionists. McCormick’s campaign having paid someone who has been indicted in three different states for their work to help Donald Trump’s fake electors scheme is yet another example of why Pennsylvanians can’t trust him to be for them.”
What to Know About McCormick’s Ties To January 6 Fake Electors and Insurrectionists:
- McCormick hired a fake elector who was part of an effort to overturn the 2020 election to run his Super PAC.
- McCormick paid a criminally indicted co-conspirator in Donald Trump’s fake elector schemes in Georgia, Arizona, and Wisconsin to help his recount efforts in the 2022 Pennsylvania Senate Republican primary.

- McCormick clinched GOP support in Pennsylvania after being endorsed by Doug Mastriano, an outspoken election denier and January 6 insurrectionist.
- Mastriano has been called “one of the most prominent election deniers in Pennsylvania.”
- He participated in the January 6 insurrection, spending thousands of dollars to bus supporters to Washington, DC.
- McCormick has never denounced Mastriano’s participation in the January 6 insurrection, but called himself and Mastriano “friends” and stated that they have “mutual admiration” for one another.
