Billboard Highlights McCormick’s Record of Dishonesty, Including Breaking New York Times Report
PENNSYLVANIA — Today, the Pennsylvania Democratic Party is launching a mobile billboard that will follow David McCormick’s campaign events across the Commonwealth, ensuring Pennsylvania voters know about David McCormick’s record of dishonesty.
The billboard will remind Pennsylvanians that McCormick prioritized the Chinese government over American workers, supports a ban on abortion with no exceptions for rape or incest, and is lying about where he lives.
The billboard also highlights the recent New York Times report exposing David McCormick for giving “a misleading impression about key aspects of his background.”
Pennsylvania Democratic Party spokesperson TaNisha Cameron issued the following statement:
“Wherever David McCormick goes, we’ll be reminding Pennsylvanians that he continues to lie about his background, including where he’s from and where he lives, his dangerous anti-choice agenda, and his long record of outsourcing and killing Pennsylvania jobs.”

- David McCormick is lying about living in Pennsylvania.“‘I live in Pennsylvania,’ McCormick said” […] “In reality, he’s living in a $16 million mansion in Westport on Connecticut’s “Gold Coast.”
- David McCormick was also exposed for claiming that he “started with nothing” and “he didn’t have anything” when he actually grew up in a “sprawling hilltop residence.”
- McCormick referenced a family “tree farm” in a 2022 ad that was used for the family hobby of raising Arabian horses.
- David McCormick is out for himself and his wealthy friends, not Pennsylvanians. As the head of the world’s largest hedge fund on Wall Street, he made his fortune of up to $290 million by investing billions of dollars for the Chinese government and outsourcing jobs to China and India while laying off workers in Pennsylvania. He also badly mismanaged the retirement funds of Pennsylvania’s teachers, while he walked away with millions in fees.
- David McCormick has deep ties to America’s adversaries. McCormick invested millions in blacklisted Chinese military companies that produced stealth bombers, fighter jets, and aircraft carriers. As CEO of Bridgewater, he increased investments in China by 108,000%, including in blacklisted Chinese companies with ties to human rights violations.
- David McCormick has a long record of killing and outsourcing American jobs. David McCormick “helped open up China to U.S. investment” as an official in the Bush administration, then, as a hedge fund manager he profited from the lower investment barriers he lobbied for. His work “actually made offshoring jobs easier.”
