PA Democratic Party Announces Candidate For Special Election In The 35th House District

The Executive Committee of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party, after receiving a recommendation from the Allegheny County Democratic Committee, voted on Sunday to nominate a candidate for the special election in 35th House District that will be held on January 23, 2018. The committee nominated Austin Davis as the Democratic Party’s candidate for the special election.

State Party Chairman Marcel L. Groen released the following statement:

“Austin Davis is a fighter for Allegheny County and will be an excellent state representative. I’ve seen his passion in his remarkable work as Vice-Chairman of the Allegheny County Democratic Committee, where he has overseen an operation that has elected numerous Democrats.

“As a state representative, Austin will stand for stable jobs with livable wages, for expanded infrastructure investment throughout Southwest Pennsylvania, and for public education throughout Pennsylvania, He will be a strong ally in Harrisburg in the fight against the opioid epidemic. I know that he will make the people of the 35th House District proud as their representative.”

Executive Director of the Pennsylvania House Democratic Campaign Committee, Nathan Davidson, released the following statement:
