PA Democratic Party Announces Candidates For Special Elections

HARRISBURG, PA — Today the Executive Committee of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party voted to nominate candidates for special elections in House Districts 57, 192, and 200 to be held on March 15, 2016. State Party Chairman Marcel L. Groen released the following statement:

“I’m pleased to announce that we have nominated a strong slate of candidates to stand up for our schools, ensure a balanced budget and fight for policies that move Pennsylvania Forward”

Executive Director of the House Democratic Campaign Committee, Nathan Davidson added, “After 205 days without a state budget, it could not be more clear that we need Democrats like Iezzi, Savage, and Cook-Artis in Harrisburg to put people before politics.”

Linda Iezzi has been nominated as the democratic candidate in House District 57. She is a small business owner, and a former South Greensburg Borough councilwoman.

Lynwood Savage has been nominated as the democratic candidate in House District 192. Savage has been a committed member of his community, serving as a committeeman in the 34th ward for almost four decades where he is currently chairman.

Tonyelle Cook-Artis has been nominated as the democratic candidate for House District 200. Having served as the Chief of Staff to former Representative Cherelle Parker, Cook-Artis continues her mission to serve the constituents of the 200th District.
