“Since his first day in office, President Trump has broken his promises to keep jobs here at home as Pennsylvania’s manufacturing base continues to shrink and more companies ship jobs to China on his watch. He started — and lost — a trade war that pushed our manufacturers and farmers to the brink. And he’s repeatedly downplayed the seriousness of the coronavirus to appease Xi Jinping and recruit the Chinese government’s assistance in his re-election campaign. So the Times report isn’t surprising to Pennsylvanians — it’s just one more example of Trump putting himself before our commonwealth when it comes to dealing with China.”
