PENNSYLVANIA — Today, the Pennsylvania Democratic Party issued the following statement in response to the announcement that Vice President Pence plans to visit to the commonwealth on Thursday:
“Mike Pence is coming back to Pennsylvania to spin Trump’s failed record, but Pennsylvanians know the truth: Donald Trump has broken his promises to our communities and left us behind,” said Pennsylvania Democratic Party spokesman Andres Anzola. “Trump’s chaotic, erratic COVID-19 response has cost over 6,700 Pennsylvanians their lives and millions more their jobs. And it never had to be this bad. Had Trump and Pence taken the coronavirus seriously from day one and had they not gotten rolled by China on a bad trade deal, our economy never would have got to this point. Nothing Pence says can undo the damage caused by Trump’s failures. Pennsylvania voters will hold them accountable in November and elect Joe Biden — an actual leader who cares about the people of our commonwealth.”
