Following tonight’s PA-Gov Republican primary debate, Pennsylvania Democratic Party spokesperson Rosie Lapowsky issues the following statement:
“During tonight’s GOP Republican primary debate, the Republican candidates once again showed Pennsylvanians what they’re fighting for: a government focused on divisive culture wars and dangerous extremism rather than growing our economy or helping Pennsylvania families get ahead. The Republican candidates want to implement a complete ban on abortion, wage draconian crusades against women’s personal health care decisions, pass new restrictions on voting rights, and punish business who don’t agree with their extreme and unpopular agenda — all to please Donald Trump.
“With less than one month until the primary election, you would think that the Republican candidates would focus on the issues facing Pennsylvanians, but instead they are embracing more and more extreme policies in order to win over the far right.”
