PENNSYLVANIA – Today, rather than keep the oath he took to ‘do impartial justice, according to the Constitution and laws,’ Pat Toomey voted to acquit President Trump after spending weeks participating in Mitch McConnell’s cover-up of Trump’s impeachable offenses.
“Today, Pat Toomey condoned President Donald Trump’s bribery, setting a dangerous precedent for the future of our country,” said Beth Melena, senior communications advisor for the Pennsylvania Democratic Party. “Toomey repeatedly defended Donald Trump by refusing to call for witnesses and evidence that would further solidify what we all know – that Donald Trump committed impeachable offenses.
