Following the approval of the GOP tax plan, Pennsylvania Democratic Party Chairman Marcel L. Groen issued this statement:
“With this vote, Republicans have once again betrayed American families by providing bigger tax breaks to the wealthiest at the expense of children and the middle-class. Keep the images of Republicans celebrating in mind when the deficit increases and when insurance premiums skyrocket. This vote is unforgivable and every congressman who voted for it should be ashamed.
“There are 321 days until Election Day, 2018. Let me be clear — we intend to spend those 321 days reminding the people of Pennsylvania of the votes their Republican representatives took to increase their taxes, strip them of their health care, and lay the burden of debt on their children.”
