Pennsylvania Will Lose 110,000 Jobs Under Toomey’s Health Care Plan

The GOP’s health care plan just keeps getting worse. A report from the Commonwealth Fund projected that Pennsylvania would lose 85,000 jobs under the House’s version of Trumpcare. Yesterday, the Commonwealth Fund released an updated report that confirmed that the Senate’s plan — the version that Senator Pat Toomey helped to write — would be even more devastating for Pennsylvania.

If the Pat Toomey’s version of Trumpcare passes and his cuts to Medicaid go into effect, Pennsylvania could lose 110,000 jobs.

“Pat Toomey’s health care plan will not only kick seniors out of their nursing homes, strip treatment away from people struggling with the disease of addiction, and cause premiums to skyrocket, it will also be a major blow to Pennsylvania’s working people and economy,” said Brandon Cwalina, spokesperson for the Pennsylvania Democratic Party.
