Over the weekend, Scott Wagner flew with Steve Bannon to St. Louis to attend an ultra-conservative conference where Bannon endorsed Wagner’s gubernatorial run. This should not be surprising. Bannon has been plotting a coordinated attack on republican establishment candidates and Scott Wagner’s anti-semitic, white nationalist, and pro-Trump views as well as his extremist positions on health care and women’s rights are fully in line with Bannon’s agenda.
“Scott Wagner jet-setting around with the leader of America’s Alt Right movement, Steve Bannon, should be no surprise,” said Beth Melena, communications director for the Pennsylvania Democratic Party. “Wagner and Bannon must have spent their private time together bonding over their anti-semitic and white nationalist views and love of Donald Trump. They likely also discussed their desire to strip health insurance from millions and to take away a woman’s right to make decisions about her own health care. Right wing Scott Wagner’s endorsement by Steve Bannon prove that he is far too extreme for Pennsylvanians.”
