SCOTT PERRY GIVES UNHINGED RANT ON HOUSE FLOOR

Perry Compares Actions of Nazis to Public Criticism Today

WASHINGTON, DC — Fifteen minutes before Liz Cheney’s speech standing up to GOP leadership and against the Big Lie, GOP Congressman and Suburban Steve King Rep. Scott Perry gave short remarks denouncing “cancel culture.”

Perry is no stranger to offensive and extreme views. Last month he pushed racist white nationalist talking points from his House Committee position, worked to oust the acting attorney general to overturn the election, and voted against a resolution condemning QAnon.

In a four-minute speech, Perry managed to:

— Compare criticism for differences of opinion to Nazi book burning.

— Attack a private company for moving its own event to another state over restricting the right to vote.

— Prop up a group that called for herd immunity through mass COVID-19 infections that was signed by fake experts “Dr Johnny Bananas” and “Professor Cominic Dummings” and was debunked by real medical experts.

— Painfully suck up to former President Trump.

— Claim football coach Mike Gundy, who on his own accord apologized to a player he had offended, was a victim of “cancel culture. Gundy remains a victim in his job, being paid more than 4 million dollars annually and has lost to the rival Oklahoma Sooners six years in a row.

— Continue to defend the Big Lie that the election was fraudulent and defended his role in overturning that election that led to the insurrection on January 6th.

— Prop up lies by former president and not-medical expert Donald Trump that hydroxychloroquine was an effective treatment against COVID-19 – it’s not.

— Claim “free speech has been canceled” the night before his GOP caucus ousts Rep. Liz Cheney for telling the truth.
