Today, the Senate Republicans’ are moving forward with a vote on their disastrous health care plan despite overwhelming opposition from the American people and health care experts and absolutely no transparency. In fact, Senator Toomey doesn’t even know which version of this disastrous plan he’s voting on.
“It’s clear that Pat Toomey has no regard for his constituents considering he is gearing up to vote on a health care plan that would devastate millions of Pennsylvanians. Rather than work with Democrats to improve our health care system, Toomey is taking every chance he gets to increase costs for working families, kick seniors out of their nursing homes, charge an age tax on older Pennsylvanians, and make prescription drugs unaffordable for millions, and strip care from women, people with pre-existing conditions, and those suffering from a substance use disorder,” said Brandon Cwalina, spokesperson for the Pennsylvania Democratic Party. “Pat Toomey needs to stop playing games with peoples’ lives and get to work on a bipartisan solution to expanding affordable, quality health care for all.”
