Does State Rep. Saccone Support Congressional Republicans’ Plan For Middle Class Premium Hikes In PA?

This Week Senate and House Republicans Voted for Irresponsible Plan to Repeal ACA with No Replacement, How Would State Rep Saccone Have Voted?

State Representative Rick Saccone is “strongly considering” a run for U.S. Senate in 2018 and Pennsylvania’s middle class deserves to know whether he would have voted for Senate Republicans’ plan to raise middle class premiums, hike the cost of prescription drugs for seniors and end consumer protections for millions across the state by repealing the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has warned that premiums could rise by as much as 20% following repeal. The just passed bill would bring back the prescription drug gap for seniors, raising costs, and put insurance companies back in charge, allowing them to deny health care coverage to Pennsylvanians who have a preexisting condition.

“State Representative Rick Saccone should come clean and tell Pennsylvanians whether he supports this irresponsible plan to hike their premiums, increase prescription drug costs and put insurance companies back in charge?” said Preston Maddock, Pennsylvania Democratic Party spokesperson. “Far right State Representative Rick Saccone may be busy in Harrisburg trying to cut funding for our children’s schools, but the middle class deserves to know whether he would fight for them or repeal the ACA and cause health care chaos throughout our state.”
