TOOMEY BOWS OUT WITH LOW POLL NUMBERS

PENNSYLVANIA – After years of working for the special interests in Washington and with consistently terrible poll numbers, Pat Toomey has decided not to seek re-election. A PPP poll from earlier this year found that 51% of Pennsylvanias disapprove of Pat Toomey’s job performance while only 25% of Pennsylvanians approve.

“Pat Toomey is bowing out of a re-election campaign because his poll numbers show that Pennsylvanians would never send him back to Washington,” said Brendan Welch, communications director for the Pennsylvania Democratic Party. “Pat Toomey has spent his entire term working for special interests, trying to dismantle Obamacare, and giving handouts to the ultra-wealthy. By not seeking re-election, Pat Toomey has finally done something that benefits his constituents.”
