Toomey Wants To Take Health Care Away From 32 Million People

Pennsylvanians from across the commonwealth have spoken out to oppose Toomey’s reckless efforts to sabotage people’s health care. Because of this, the Senate Republicans’ plan to take health care away from 22 million Americans, increase costs for working families, charge an age tax on older Pennsylvanians, and make prescription drugs unaffordable for millions failed. Mitch McConnell’s and Pat Toomey’s next plan, which would take health care away from 32 million Americans, also failed.

“It is becoming more and more apparent that no matter how many tens of millions stand to lose health care coverage, Pat Toomey is content to push ahead with a partisan agenda that will leave Pennsylvanians vulnerable,” said Brandon Cwalina, spokesperson for the Pennsylvania Democratic Party. “Democrats will stand against each and every attack on the basic right of every citizen to have quality, affordable health care. It’s time for Pat Toomey to stand up for hard-working Pennsylvanians, work with Democrats, and do the same.”
