Voters And Activists Across Southeastern PA Hand Deliver Town Hall Invitations Demanding Congressman Do Their Job

Events Highlight Grassroots Backlash Against Lack of Transparency And Question Members Leadership

Voters and constituents across Southeastern PA hand delivered town hall invitations amid office visits, protests, and rallies at the district offices of Rep. Ryan Costello (PA-6), Rep. Patrick Meehan (PA-7), and Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-8).

The invitations served as notice inviting the reluctant members to scheduled town hall events sponsored by local activist organizations during the April congressional recess.

All three members have yet to hold an in-person public town hall despite weeks of backlash over recent events surrounding health care and the current administration. Additionally, both Rep. Meehan and Rep. Costello have turned down previous invitations to attend similar events, with Costello going as far as calling such events “political stunt(s)” that he chose not to attend over fear of being caught making “funny faces.”

Hardworking Pennsylvanians’ voices and messages were loud and clear: Pennsylvanians won’t stand for their Members of Congress hiding from them and refusing to do their job while they peruse a radical agenda at the expense of hardworking Pennsylvania families and Pennsylvania’s economy.
