PENNSYLVANIA – Today Andy Harkulich, President of USW 1660 and Chair of the NWPA Area Labor Federation, AFL-CIO, and Steve Atwood, Business Agent of Ironworkers Local 3, issued the following statement with regards to Connecticut hedge fund executive David McCormick:
“Here in Pennsylvania we have seen firsthand the damage the outsourcing of jobs has done to our workers. Throughout the commonwealth, hardworking Pennsylvanians have had their livelihoods ruined by corporations shipping their jobs overseas.
David McCormick has not only sent jobs overseas, but has referred to his outsourcing record as a strength. We cannot trust him to represent the interests of hardworking Pennsylvanians, and he cannot be our next Senator. Pennsylvanians deserve someone who will put them first, not someone who has a track record of selling out our workers.”
