New reporting from the Philadelphia Inquirer reveals Oz has been lying about renovating his mansion in PA
PENNSYLVANIA – New reporting from The Philadelphia Inquirer shows that, while Oz has repeatedly said he is not living in his $3.1M manor house because it is undergoing renovations, there are no construction permits filed in in the township where the house sits:
Oz does not currently live in the home, which he’s said still needs renovations. So far, no construction permits have been filed in Lower Moreland.
Oz said as recently as this past week that he was “building on” his house in the clip from The Daily Beast where he incorrectly stated he “legitimately owned” two houses (when in reality he owns ten). This is the same house that is worth $3.1M and enabled Oz to secure a $50k tax credit by taking advantage of a program meant for farmers.
Pennsylvania Democratic Party spokesperson Jack Doyle issued the following statement:
“Mehmet Oz has lied about where he lives and how many houses he owns throughout this entire campaign. Oz is an out of touch TV millionaire who doesn’t know anything about Pennsylvania and doesn’t respect the people who live here enough to be honest with them. Pennsylvania voters deserve a real answer regarding Oz’s ‘manor’.”
