GOP FIELD ATTACKS MCCORMICK

A week after losing the Trump endorsement sweepstakes, McCormick is slammed by GOP primary field

PENNSYLVANIA – A week after Connecticut hedge fund executive David McCormick lost the Trump sweepstakes, despite his desperate efforts, he’s come under attack from the rest of the primary field.

See what they’re saying below:

Mehmet Oz:

“If you look at where the money is coming from, which is primarily– alright, it’s out-of-state money, coming, a lot of it, from Wall Street. They want a Wall Street senator in Washington. And that person is Dave McCormick. That’s why they are just fine with his desire to build the biggest hedge fund ever in China while I was here with you, suffering with COVID, trying to help people. They’re fine with the PSERS pension fund being taken advantage of– a half a billion dollars in fees. And we’re stuck paying half a billion extra in property taxes this year because of that.”  [WPHT, Dom Giordano Show, 4/13/22]

“So I said a steady climb for us despite having almost 20 million dollars of super PAC money spent against me. This is money that comes from Wall Street, outside Pennsylvania. People who have a very firm belief that they want to have their candidate in the Senate. And I don’t want to have a senator from Wall Street.” [KDKA, Marty Griffin Show, 4/14/22]

Kathy Barnette:

“Dave McCormick is the number one foreign shareholder of Chinese stocks. All of us know you do not become the number one foreign shareholder of Chinese stocks and gain that kind of access to China’s market without completely surrendering yourself over to the One China Way. Now, of course, he wants to pretend that he is America first and all about America and just another Okie from Muskogee walking around in his jeans.”  [KMZQ, The Club with Andy & Marc, 4/13/22]

Jeff Bartos:

“So I’m going to– I’m going to wipe out any of the B.S. here and say, of course, it’s a big deal. President Trump’s endorsement is a big deal. It’s something that I think every candidate running would have liked to have. And it definitely helps Dr. Oz, no question. And anyone who says differently is acting like a candidate and not being honest with you. I said it’s not determinative, but it’s definitely a big deal.” [WPHT, Dom Giordano Show, 4/13/22]
