The results are in, and Hillary Clinton overwhelmingly won the debate. She proved, once again, that she is the only candidate fit to be President of the United States.

They overwhelmingly believed Clinton had seized the moment, coming off as “firm” and “knowledgeable,” the more presidential of the two. Trump, they said, was “defensive” and “bombastic,” leaving “unanswered questions” while dilly-dallying on difficult topics.

Clinton stuck to specifics throughout the evening, including details of her tax plan, and how she would handle gun violence, create jobs and eliminate racism. Trump, however, frequently got off topic. “Trump really went into the weeds on whether he supported the war in Iraq,” said CNN host Jake Tapper.

CBS News contributor and pollster Frank Luntz spoke with undecided Pennsylvania voters after Monday night’s presidential debate, and the general consensus among them was that Hillary Clinton won. When asked by Luntz who won the debate, five undecided voters said they believed Trump won, and 16 said they believed Clinton won.

Mr. Trump boasted about not doing the sort of intense mock-debate preparation that Ms. Clinton did. His lack of readiness showed. While he started off strong, he appeared to fade as the 90-minute debate went along. When Trump made a crack about Clinton taking time off the campaign trail to prepare for the debate, she turned it into a validation of her readiness for the White House. “I think Donald just criticized me for preparing for this debate,” Clinton said. “And, yes, I did. And you know what else I prepared for? I prepared to be president. And I think that’s a good thing.”
